Apple Cloud Services Codenamed as 'Castle' in Mac OS X Lion Preview 2 ?

According to a recent report, some instances have been found in Mac OS X Lion preview 2 that indicate that Apple would name their cloud services as Castle, not ‘iCloud‘. It was earlier claimed that Apple has purchased the iCloud domain and renamed it Cloud Me to resemble the name with its one of the most popular service – Mobile Me. Though, the castle has been retitled from ‘New Castle’ after the update in Mac OS X Lion preview.

There is no confirmation yet that what will Apple call its upcoming cloud service in June at WWDC 2011. Will it be iCloud, CloudMe, New Castle, or simply ‘Castle’ ? Keeping the nomenclature aside, the best thing about these cloud services is that they will let you store the media on Apple serves so that anyone from any part of the world get the authorized access and sync the data seamlessly through iTunes. It was also rumored that Apple would include ‘Find My Friends’ feature in the upcoming major software upgrade – iOS 5.0.

Stay tuned for the regular updates!
