We are expecting some big announcements from Apple during Steve Jobs keynote at WWDC next week and most of it (if not all) is expected to be on the software front. Ranging from Lion for Mac to iOS 5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch there is plenty for Apple to announce. The rumored service would also launch / be announced on the same day. But here is what we are now hearing, Apple has a special Twitter integration to announce on the day.
We have heard of Apple acquiring Twitter in the past and Apple also has its presence on Twitter.
Apparently Twitter is gearing up to launch its own image service, something similar to what we do with Twitpic and Yfrog currently. The twitter image service according to TC would come in to iOS, allowing users to share images on twitter, just like they share videos on YouTube from iOS.
Apple has had a troubled past with Facebook where its Ping service couldn’t get Facebook working for a long time. The bad blood between Apple and Twitter may be past, but it might well help iTwitter. Steve Jobs would be on stage on 6th June and the iCloud music service might also integrate twitter in someway.
