DevTeam Has Already JailBroken iOS 5.0 On iPod touch 4G

Within hours of launch of iOS 5.0 beta 1, DevTeam finds no time to give it a shot and JailBroken the first developer beta version of the popular operating system on iPod touch 4G. @MuscleNerd has tweeted the screenshot of the root access through iSSH which indicates that the device has already been JailBroken.

To confirm the evidence for many people, he posted the screenshot of the springboard with a cydia icon on iOS 5.0. However, DevTeam didn’t show us the inside of the cydia which kept us in doubt that the cydia is still stable in the recently available mobile operating system or not. The exploit that has been implemented to JailBreak the iPod touch 4G is limera1n plus tethered boot.

iOS 5.0 was previewed by Apple during WWDC 2011 on 6 June.  The fact can’t be neglected that once Apple release the GM (Gold Master) or final version for the people to download through iTunes, the JailBreak will be available on the spot. The DevTeam has also confirmed that OTA updates will not affect the JailBreakers.

The devices that will support iOS 5.0 are – iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3rd, 4th generation, iPad 1 and iPad 2. There is still no indication towards the JailBreak of iPad 2 yet. We hope that it will be available after the public release of iOS 5.0.

Are you excited about it?
