JailBreak Status Of iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G & iPad 2

The JailBreak for iDevices is now taking another turn. Considering the @i0n1c tweet, ndrv_setspec() integeroverflow has been killed by Apple in the recent iOS 5 beta release which makes untether impossible in this release. Also, Dev Team has already JailBroken iPod touch 4G running on iOS 5 beta 1 using the limera1n exploit in addition to the ‘tethered boot‘. The fact can’t be neglected that @i0n1c exploit has been existed since the release of iOS 4.3.1 and instant removal of it in the developer version may lead to untether JailBreaks in the future difficult.
On the other hand, iPad 2 JailBreak is constantly under development from the Chronic Dev Team. They want to keep hold of the ETA which @p0sixninja told during the My Great Fest. @i0n1c also suggested that there is still a kernel exploit persists in iOS 5 beta. Until Apple fixes it in the future releases, we can expect iPad 2 JailBreak only for iOS 4.3.3. The probability that Apple rectify that loophole is very high whereas Geohot doesn’t appear to be active when it comes to the race with @p0sixninja to dump the iPad 2 bootrom.
We do need not to worry a lot as these are meant to be only developer versions. This may happen in future that Apple include those files which are responsible for @i0n1c untethered JailBreak again in the final release. We will keep you update once we get more information on it.
Stay tuned!
