Sn0wBreeze Updated To Support iOS 5 Untether JailBreak For Old Bootrom iPhone 3GS

It was earlier believed through the @i0n1c statement on twitter that iOS 5 will have the support for tethered JailBreaks in future. But it seems that iH8sn0w, the developer of sn0wbreeze has found a way to untether Jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1 on iPhone 3G S (old bootrom). Sn0wbreeze is a windows based tool that allows you to create custom firmware on windows, similar to Pwnage tool on Mac. Before you restore with custom firmware, you need to put your iPhone 3G S in DFU mode to neglect various errors.

As we already know, it is meant only for developers who have a registered UDID from Apple so that they get their applications, tweak, widgets, etc ready till the final version is released this fall. You are requested not to pirate the iOS 5 beta 1 firmware. There are several other methods to bypass the UDID from Apple. So, try them at your own risk. Also, Pwnage tool from DevTeam is available for download that provides you with the same functionality on your Mac.

Hopefully, both Sn0wbreeze & Pwnage tool  uses the limera1n exploit for the Jailbreak. However, ultrasn0w has still not yet updated for iOS 5 which means that there is no unlock. Kindly, note that the untethered JailBreak is available only for iPhone 3G S (old bootrom), not the new one. We will keep you updated.
