iPhone 5 launch rumors are prevailing and expectation from Apple has already started building. While Bloomsberg indicates that the next generation iPhone will be launched in September on the same ‘Music event’ whereas BGR sources claims that Apple will hold an extra event for the launch. Though, both of them have speculated different features form the iPhone 4S/5. Some different sources are claiming that the iPhone 5 will have a dual LED flash and they have their own reasons behind them.
There are basically three LED flash potential suppliers for Apple :
1) Everlight Electronics
2) Edison Opto
3) Lite-On technology
However, it’s the decision of Apple to choose one amongst them. Some market reporters have also suggested that the orders of the LED Flash instantly declined from Phillips and switched over to a Taiwan based company ahead of the iPhone 5 launch. As Everlight and Light-on are the the two major suppliers in the market, so it would not be a surprise to see them as dual LED Flash manufacturers in the future. According to the sources, probability for Edison-Opto to become the LED suppliers for the next generation iPhone is quite high due to their production of high powered LED flashes to other venders.
There have been rumors about the relocation of LED flash in iPhone 5 earlier. Dual LED flash could be the reason that Apple is trying to create much more space for the implementation.
