It’s been few days since AT&T has started selling Factory Unlocked iPhone 4 in the USA. Now, a recent report suggests that Apple Store has been authorized to unlock the AT&T locked iPhone 4 at check out for the full price. The condition applies only if any of the Apple Store becomes low on the incoming supply of the Factory Unlocked devices. So, to match up with the demand, Apple is providing them with a special unlocking software/tool that lets unlock iPhone 4 through their systems.
The screenshot attached with this post is from the Apple Retail Project Manager, showing that the Apple stores are now capable of unlocking the AT&T iPhone 4’s. After the iPhone 4 official unlock form the Apple Stores, the iPhone 4 will cost the full price as that of the Factory Unlocked ones, that is, 16GB will cost $650 and 32GB for $749. Earlier, Apple has been able to sell the contact-free iPhone 4 from the AT&T but they were sill strapped to them.
With this method, people will be able to use the iPhone 4 with the choice of their carrier.
