Comex Responded About The iPad 2 JailBreak Leak, Says To Save Your 4.3.3 SHSH Blobs

Update : iPad 2 JailBreak has been released officially.

Earlier today, we reported about the leak of iPad 2 JailBreak which was released by someone on youtube. In addition to it, the person who is supposed to be the beta tester posted the video tutorial on how to use it. The comex has responded on twitter that the JailBreakMe leak was real. But due to the pre-release version, it has a lot of bugs which were planned to be fixed before the final release. Some people have even reported that they are facing boot lags after the JailBreak.

As the exploit has become public, Apple will most likely to release another firmware update to close this loophole. Once Apple released the iOS 4.3.4, you will not be able to restore back to iOS 4.3.3 if you don’t have SHSH Blobs saved for the respective firmware. You can use the TinyUmbrella to save them for the future. According to comex, the leak was due to a dictionary attack which made all the PDF files available on a specific url. However, most of the url are now down and you may need to wait for the official version.

Now, it can be concluded that the JailBreakMe 3.0 will be available for firmwares until iOS 4.3.3 very soon (iPad 2 included). The exploit has already been patched in iOS 5.0 🙂
