Yes, you heard it right. Apple has discontinued its popular medium priced white Macbook all over the world. It means that you would not be able to see people using unibody white Macbook after few months. It may happen that they would be eradicated from the history one day. This can be illustrated from the fact that New Macbook Airs offers a better build quality (Aluminum), backlight keyboard which you would have seen in Macbook Pros and a thunderbolt port. Also, they are light weights as well.
You may not miss white Macbook at all because the internal storage or SSD can be extendable to 256GB through various customizable options. However, the basic model starts from 64GB which could appear to be less for many users. When i bought my white Macbook last year, i entirely loved its unibody and revamped design. Though, what matters for me is how well the hardware holds an OS rather than upgraded processors. If i can run Mac OS X Lion smoothly on dual core configuration, New Macbook Air shall not be my next purchase even if prices have been lowered tremendously. Anyways, it is time to say RIP.
