iOS 5 Beta 5 is Now JailBroken Using Redsn0w 0.9.8b5

DevTeam has released another version of Redsn0w, that is, Redsn0w 0.9.8b5 which can JailBreak iOS 5 Beta 5. Due to its beta nature, it is meant only for developers. Normal users shouldn’t update to recently seeded iOS 5 Beta 5 from iTunes. It will simply brick your device if you are not registered to Apple developer program. After upgrade, it would cross check registered UDID of your device and the process can’t be bypassed in any way.

Similar to all Redsn0w betas, it will lead to a tethered Jailbreak. It means that you always need to have the software to reboot your device. This would fix majority of issues which you will come across like white icon of cydia, no safari icon on springboard etc. An untethered JailBreak can be expected only when iOS 5 would come out of beta. However, according to i0n1c, untethered JailBreak for iOS 5 may take more time because Apple has killed all exploits and must have made huge changes.
