Skype 5.3 Supports Mac OS X Lion, Added HD Video Calling Feature

After being integrated into Facebook chat, Skype has been upgraded to support Mac OS X Lion. The update is available for all Mac software including Snow Leopard with a built in HD video calling feature. You can video call in a quality with friends in your contact list which was not possible before. All you need to require is a Macbook or iMac with a HD camera that would enhance the experience. You can send as well receive video chat in HD quality if other person is having the same configuration.

Skype is a great way to video chat with people from one Pc to another, Pc to smartphone, one smartphone to another etc. Not all Android smartphone with a front facing camera supports the features. But it seems that Skype is continuously working hard to enable it on all Android devices through frequent updates. Earlier, Mac users could enjoy HD video calling only through FaceTime. Due to the available APIs, the support has been extended to Skype as well. Apple may have plans to integrate one such front camera on their iDevices in future. Though, our fingers are crossed this time.

The minimum broadband speed which you require for an outstanding video quality on Skype is 1.5 Mbps. Download from here
