Yesterday, Google came out with yet another update for Google+ application for Android and added tones of new features. One of the key feature that had been added is the capability to do ‘Hangout’ from Android devices. Similar to FaceTime in iOS, it works seamlessly without the need of any particular configuration or settings. With the possibility of Hangout in Android devices, it opens wide range of option for iOS users because Google has already announced that they would be bringing same features in iOS devices soon.Â
After the arrival of Google+ for iOS devices, users would have an alternative to switch over to Hangout. Those who don’t know, Hangout allows you to video conference from one smartphone to another. Unlike FaceTime, Hangout is a cross platform. So definitely, users would have an advantage over Skype and other services. Also, FaceTime doesn’t let you do group video calling from one iDevice to another. However, with Hangout, you can simultaneously chat in group with minimum lags. You may need to wait a little before this feature hits the iPhone and iPod touch soon.
