Actual reason to make JailBreak available before the final release was to invite developers to build some amazing tweaks for iOS 5. One of the most popular tweak is SB settings which made you use many useful options available from the springboard. The developers has almost finished the work and started rolling out the tweak which is still in beta for people to test it all over the world. This tweak now uses the pull down notification bar widget integration of iOS 5.
Now, SB settings can be configured in the way that will allow you to disable or modify text to maximize the use of space. You can disable toggles, choose whether you want it to be in the same old fashioned way or integrated in notification bar, you can decide what should be shown in the notification area, choose whether to enable extra text or not or look out for the best combination that suits your needs. We had seen earlier that many other developers are trying their level best to make these widgets available on the day of stable Jailbreak.
Through the stable JailBreak we mean that it shouldn’t be tethered anymore. If you want to try out SB settings from cydia on iOS 5, you can add following repo: http://thebigboss.org/ios5beta. I’m not really sure but this should work on both iPhone and iPad.
