There are reports from Guardian that Apple engineers are calling people who have battery life issues with their iPhone 4S. One of the owner who was contacted by an Apple engineer told Guardian that the battery life of his iPhone 4S was acting weirdly from somedays. On standby mode, it drained 10% in every hour which was really unexpected for him. He had an impression that this could be due to some application which was running in the background.
To confirm it, the iPhone 4S owner switched off everything, including Siri but battery drain remained the same. He even restored the phone using iTunes and completely refreshed everything. Even though the battery showed no improvements. As a result, the owner called Apple engineer who admitted the fault and said that they aren’t close to finding a fix for it right now. This engineer asked plenty of questions to the iPhone 4S owner about his usage and told him to install a file to get an info for the idea.
