The rumors of a native Gmail applications have started to gain attention from sometime back. It appears that Google has submitted a native Gmail application for iOS which would provide a lot more functionality for these devices. On the flip side, there is an optimized version of Gmail for mobile browser, but it fails to provide you access for everything.

With a native Gmail application, it seems that Google will be able to add functionality such as Google+ integration, priority inbox and starring of messages. Also, rumors suggests that the application has been submitted to Apple for the approval. Once approved, it would appear on App Store and the approval process doesn’t take more than a weeks time. Other features could be attractive icons, a new way of threading and an amazing way of search.

It is assumed that Apple would not take much time to approve this application if it had been already submitted. Are you excited for it?
