Macerkopf.de, a German site who earlier claimed that Apple is in all probability to release next OTA update, iOS 5.0.2 in another week have informed that the scheduling is cancelled. Apple would further test iOS 5.0.2 to prevent memory leaks in iOS 5.0, so that users who were experiencing battery issues can get the treatment soon. Apple in an statement with AllThingsD already told that they have been able to resolve this battery problems with majority of the devices.
However, the issue still persists with many and they are diagnosing it right away. The fix would be released in terms of a dedicated software update addressing the issue with many other improvements. There are certain rumors from operators that Apple would extend the support for Siri by including Indian accent for the customers. Though, some other sources have said that support for many different languages would be added for Siri only in iOS 5.1. Whereas, iOS 5.0.1 remains an update for customers with battery life issues.
We are not really sure if they are quite credible in predicting the release of iOS 5.0.2. But one thing is definitely confirmed that either today or tomorrow, iOS 5.0.2 would hit to our devices in the form of an OTA update. There are less chances that any beta would be pushed for developers to try out on their devices. Instead, it would be released for public directly after the vigorous testing from Apple. Needless to say, the major software update, iOS 5.1 will be seeded to developers sometime this year.
