Samsung Ad Inspired By Mac Vs PC Apple Campaign, But

Samsung is accused of copying Apple and hey, they sure have their own way of getting back to Apple for all those patent lawsuits and injunctions. A new Ad, mocking the people lining up to buy an Apple product and trying to highlight the fact that the iPhone 4S lacks a 4G / LTE connection, a larger display and shares the same design as its predecessor. It seems that copying the iPad, iPhone and MacBook Air wasn’t enough for Samsung, they are now copying Apple’s Mac vs PC campaign, but with a few differences.

a) Samsung isn’t making fun of the rival, but the very customers they want to attract. Or rather just an ego boost for their existing user base. Doesn’t feel appropriate to us.

b) The Mac vs PC Ads highlighted the awesomeness and cool factor of Apple. Samsung wants to show display size and hardware specs, not highlight a DNA. Would that make a culture? My car faster argument would win the race? What stops an HTC to come and show my car fastest?

That said, the Ad sure if fun and shows the aggressive mode of the Android smartphone maker. Samsung, next time do tell us a little more about your product, rather than hoping that for you to win, the other one has to lose or make a defective product!
