Pod2G has previously claimed that untethered JailBreak for iPhone 4 On iOS 5.0.1 is working. To strengthen it, he has posted a video where he demonstrate that the iPhone 4 is JailBroken, though the JailBreak is untethered. This is not the first time when Pod2G has showed us a video of an iOS 5 untethered JailBreak. However, earlier, despite of an iPhone 4, it was an iPod touch running on iOS 5.0.
At this point, the JailBreak is stable. And the stability is similar to the JailBreak which we get from Redsn0w. Excluding iPhone 4S and iPad 2 everything is ready for the prime time. Needless to say, Pod2G is continuously trying to resolve A5 cache issues which he faced while implementing the JailBreak. Also, other hackers including Saurik has helped him to make to make it more stable.
It seems that the iPhone hacker would come up with the public release in few days. Nevertheless, he is trying his level best to apply the userland exploit on all of the devices and at the same time, maintain the stability like the limera1n bootrom exploit. Our hopes are on and we really think that Pod2G would get the a proper working untethered JailBreak for A5 devices as well.
