iPhone 4S & iPad 2 Untethered JailBreak is Expected in a Week

Yes, you heard it right. Pod2G has finally tweeted that we could actually expect iPhone 4S and iPad 2 JailBreak in a week. Few days ago, Pod2G handed over the exploit to Chronic DevTeam which was released in the form of Corona, a tweak available in Cydia to untether JailBreak A4 device. It happened because Pod2G wanted to focus on A5 devices and he has been lucky enough to get the success.

This is the first time when Pod2G has given an ETA for the JailBreak. Previously, he didn’t give any indication on the release of untethered JailBreak for A4 based devices in any form. If the untethered JailBreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 is released next week, we could expect a method to spoof Apple servers and get a fully functional Siri port for iPhone 4. Currently, we all rely on an proxy server and Chpwn has the same perception.

At least, there is a ray of hope for the users who want to use Siri on devices other than iPhone 4S. Though, we are not confirmed if Pod2G would hand over the exploit to other hackers in the same way he did last time or he would release by his own. Whatever happens, we will keep you updated on the latest information on it. Are you excited about the iPhone 4S/iPad 2 untethered JailBreak coming next week?

[Update]: According to Pod2G, you can now update your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1. It is safe if you are willing to Jailbreak your iDevice.
