Corona/Untethered JailBreak is Reportedly Killed in iOS 5.1 Beta 3, Save SHSH Blobs For iOS 5.0.1

Some known developers over twitter have told that Apple has closed the loophole in iOS 5.1 Beta 3 which lets hackers to inject untethered JailBreak on A4 devices. It means that Corona, the patch available in Cydia which turns your tethered JailBreak into untethered is no more functional. We would advice you to save your SHSH Blobs for iOS 5.0.1 before its too late.

Apple has already pushed third beta of iOS 5.1 and they could come up with the final version soon. Once Apple releases iOS 5.1 for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, you wouldn’t be able to revert back if SHSH Blobs are not saved. As per the DevTeam member, MuscleNerd, these SHSH Blobs would be functional soon through an update in Redsn0w. Even if they are not useful at the moment, one should save them either using TinyUmbrella or Redsn0w itself.

The legendary team from Apple is also working really hard to make untethered JailBreak possible for A5 devices running on iOS 5.0.1. If you are using an iPad 2 or iPhone 4S, we would advise you to upgrade to the latest firmware. In addition to it, fetch the APTickets/SHSH Blobs from the available tools. DevTeam hacker is also trying to find out a way to unlock iPhone 4S which is due from a long time. Unfortunately, they are not working on iPhone 4 unlock right now.
So, iPhone 4 users need to preserve the BaseBand. We have previously reported about the progress in iPhone 4S and iPad 2 untethered JailBreak from Pod2G. We hope that it would come out in few days. We will let you know once we get more information on it. Stay tuned!
