iPad 3 Display Observed Under Microscope, Confirms About Retina Display

Apparently, the display of the iPad 3 has been observed under microscope which is found to be twice the resolution of the current generation iPad. Fortunately, Macrumors had the display of the iPad 3 which couldn’t be turned ON in anyway. So they decided to calculate the pixels in comparison to the iPad 2. And they found out that that the cluster was divided into 4×4 on upcoming iPad.However, the same cluster was 2×2 on iPad 2. This signifies that next generation iPad has almost double the resolution of what we see on an IPS display used by Apple right now. This led them to reach to a conclusion that iPad 3 would have a resolution of 2048×1536 which in turn is a resolution of a retina display. The difference in pixels across every part of the display is surely an indication that iPad 3 would be able to show more sharper images than ever.

After the reports of quad core processor and an LTE capability, we have got confirmation of a retina display on iPad 3. If this rumor is to be believed, next generation iPad would be a worthy successor of the iPad 2. Nevertheless, Retina display is the same display which Apple uses on iPhone 4S & iPhone 4. It could completely change the game for Apple in tablet market. Anyways, all we can do is to wait for the much awaited event in first week of March.
