Features I Would Love To See on iOS 6

Okay folks it’s that time of the year again. WWDC is around the corner and the rumor mills are running fulltime. There are plenty of things that are pending an update from Apple. From new revamped MacBooks to the all new Mountain Lion and the eagerly awaited next-gen iPhones with iOS 6. Well iPhone 5 might not see the light but we are pretty sure Apple is going to give a sneak peek into iOS 6.

Here is what we at iPhonehelp think could be the new features –

Quick-acces toggles in Notification Center

We all know how useful SBSettings is. It allows quick and easy access to all the important toggles like 3G/Bluetooth/Airplane/WiFi etc. We really wish Apple brings the same convenience to iOS 6 by adding toggles to the Notification Center.

Maps

Currently the Google Maps used by Apple is quite basic and users mostly download 3rd party apps from App Store to satisfy their navigation needs. But that all might change as Apple is working on its own 3D maps application which might debut in the iOS 6.

AirDrop for iOS

We completely love AirDrop on Mac. And we sure will love it in the new iOS as well. With more and more iOS devices and  Macs being sold its pretty common for people to have more than one iDevice. So an easy file share utility like AirDrop would be great.

Live Springboard

Consumers love live Springboards. Informative Facebook icons or real-time Stocks app icon would be welcome. Windows Mobile OS has shown a way and we are sure Apple would make it even better. A live Weathers icon and an active Gallery would be awesome.

Face Recognition

With the flurry of patents being registered by Apple Biometric and Face Recognition might finally make its way into the iOS. Samsung has already integrated Face detection and associated responses in the new Galaxy SIII. So Apple needs to up the game.

Enhanced Multi-tasking With Gestures

Apple still needs to enhance the multitasking in iOS. With quad-core processors now becoming a standard across mobile devices the phones now pretty much have the arsenal to support better multitasking.  Moreover with new generation iPhone rumored to sport a 4 inch screen Apple might very well introduce 3-finger gestures.

A Radical New Icon layout

Now I know this would be asking too much of Apple. But honestly I am kind of bored with the same old UI of the iOS since iPhone 2G. So a new layout with more interactive icons, more customisation options would be really refreshing.

Integrated Mail,Messages,Contacts

Its high time Apple integrates the contacts, mail and messages app. It should allow each other to communicative with each other and update the information on the go.

So this was our iOS 6 wish list. Let us know in the comments section about all the features you would like to see in the new iOS.
