Earlier today the iPhone repair experts, ifixyouri reported new updates in their catalog claiming them to be back panel of the yet to be launched iPhone, i.e. the new iPhone. The same source had some accurate predictions with iPad as well earlier. Are these rumors about the new iPhone design true?
The above leak seems to be supporting all the purported rumors circulating around since last few days. The next generation iPhone was rumored to be having a much smaller dock connector and an elongated design. The above leak clearly confirms change in dock connector. We think that Apple might be changing its 30-pin standard dock connector to a MicroUSB connector just to comply with the EU standard which were set by EU back in 2011.
Later today, more supporting images in much better clarity were posted by 9to5mac which showed casings of both black and white iPhones.
The above images look much more clear. Apple clearly went for a decent amount of change with the new iPhone design if the rumors are believed to be true. We witnessed many iPhone 4/4S users to have shattered their back panel because of accidental phone drops but the new design seems to be lot more sturdy considering the metal back combined with glass.
Apart from that the 3.5mm headphones jack has been moved to the bottom unlike previous generation iPhones. We can also see a small hole between the camera lens and flash which might be the new position for secondary microphone allowing better voice while recording videos.
Other parts were also leaked from the same source showing the frame and structure of screen and internal casing. One noticeable difference is with the front camera or the facetime camera which has been moved to the center like in the case of iPod touch.
The new iPhone is rumored to have an elongated design maintaining similar width but a increased length to accommodate a larger screen. If all the rumors are to be believed then this case would be an apt leak but who knows what is in store?
