Apple To Launch An All New TV OS To Be Compatible with HDTV

The story of Apple making its foray in to the television market has been around since it came in his biography that Steve Jobs wanted to revolutionise TV industry. Many blueprints, ideas and designs have since then been floating around. A year-end launch of iTV is also rumored.

To add to the rumors BGR posted that Apple will be demonstrating an all new version of the Apple TV OS next week at WWDC. The OS is believed to be much more feature rich than the present OS and is also going be seen in the rumored Apple TV.

According to the BGR sources,  Apple is trying to push a proprietary ‘control out’ API. With the help of this API users will be able to control all the different components connected to the TV via Apple remote. This would bring about a huge change as to how the home entertainment systems are set-up these days. No more individual remotes for DVD and Sound systems, and also freedom for various infrared codes and physical cables to make the devices interoperable.

Just in March Apple had launched the new Apple TV with the OS borrowing design cues heavily from the iOS. So it sounds pretty odd that Apple would launch an all new OS again at WWDC. We can just wait and watch.
