iOS 6 Maps Application To Undergo Many Changes Before Release

Since Google has entered into the mobile market and decided to compete with Apple who drive their major revenue from the maps application, Apple had been trying to get rid of the service. It was speculated that Apple would drop down the service last year. But the cupertino-based company retained the service for yet another year. But it seems that the time has arrived when Apple would unveil their own Maps application in iOS 6.

The acquisition of many companies over and over who could help Apple to develop their own Maps application and then no implementation from them over a period of time clearly hints that an application is due for the release soon. Even though BGR has posted some of the screenshots on how the maps app from Apple could look like. But according to a report from 9to5Mac, this application could undergo several changes before its final release. Perhaps, Apple could change the placement of the buttons or anything else before it’s being demoed in June.

Compared to previous images, the image which has been posted by 9to5Mac shows that the placement of a 3D button has been changed. Surprisingly, it has been shifted to bottom right scroll/menu to avoid accidental tapping on the screen. However, on iPad, due to the bigger screen, the button are larger in size because there’s a less probability of being accidentally tapped.
