DevTeam has updated their most popular tool called Redsn0w & Pwnage Tool to support iOS 5.1.1 untethered JailBreak. These tools includes the same functionality like Absinthe which is one of the simplest JailBreak tool from Chronic DevTeam. This doesn’t mean that you need to run Redsn0w or Pwnage tool over the pre-existing JailBreak. But if you are facing issues with the previous iOS 5.1.1 untethered JailBreak, you could go ahead with them.

Redsn0w, for both Windows and Mac OS X is available. On the other hand, Pwnage tool as usual works only on Mac OS X which helps you to create a custom firmware to preserve the baseband on iOS 5.1.1. Ultrasn0w unlockers who are using the tweak via Cydia to unlock their iPhone after preserving the BaseBand should give it a shot now. Also, ultrasn0w has been updated to support the unlocked BaseBand on iOS 5.1.1. However, no new support for the additional BaseBands is provided.

You could also use Cinject 0.5.4 for Mac OS X to run iOS 5.1.1 untethered JailBreak using Command Line Interface. Pwnage tool also untethered Jailbreak AppleTV2,1 5.0_2B206f on iOS 5.1.1. Let’s know if you have any doubts in the comment section. We would definitely try to reply shortly.
