Apple 3D Maps Functionality Could Be Made Available On iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4 After JailBreak [Confirmed]

When DevTeam has released tethered JailBreak for iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4, it was pretty much expected that the functionality which is missing from these device could be in works. Today, we saw the first glimpse of it. An iOS developer has made 3D maps functionality available into A4 based devices. To confirm the claim, two videos have been posted onto a site called iGuides.

In addition to it, iGuides.ru have also posted deb file of 3D maps extension which could be installed on a tethered JailBroken A4 device on iOS 6. Due to the fact that Cydia is not updated for the latest SDK kit and not compatible with iOS 6, it’s not installed into the device when you JailBreak. Hence, the deb file should be accessed through the manual way of SSH.

Once iOS 6 goes public, the tweak to enable this functionality will be called ‘3D Enabler’. If you are developer, you could try it out after the JailBreak. Otherwise, you need to wait until fall. We don’t recommend you to pirate the developer firmware and install iOS 6 on a non-developer device. Let’s know your experience if you have already tried in comment section.
