Court Temporarily Stays Apple's Injunction Against Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The never ending saga in the patent battle took yet another turn lately. As you know Apple is in the center of this patent battle with many companies and Apple is especially going against Samsung with all sorts of patent violations possible. Apple’s request for injunction against Google’s only Jelly Bean device the Galaxy Nexus manufactured by Samsung and Sold by Google has been granted by court only to be halted temporarily again.

The temporary stay only covers now through the time when the Federal Circuit will decide on Samsung’s motion to stay the ban on a more permanent basis. According to Florian Mueller on FOSSPatents today, Apple has until July 12th to respond to the motion. The patent under question is Apple unlock related patent. Apple patented a usage of sliding an image to unlock a device.

It was rumored that Google has been working with Samsung closely to create a software patch that will bypass Apple’s patent and thus resume sales of Galaxy Nexus with any further hinderance. Samsung could potentially loose out a lot if there is a permanent ban on Galaxy Nexus in the ongoing case.
