AT&T Launches Watson For Developers

AT&T has launched its speech recognition service named Watson to developers. Now any registered developers can use Watson APIs for seven different tasks and capabilities. Web Search, Business Search, Voice To Text, SMS, TV, Question and Answer and Generic services.

AT&T says that the technology has been under development since a long time and has over 600 patents over it.

AT&T Watson is programmed to “learn” different accents, speaker variations, background environments, platform variations, dialects and speech patterns-and, thus, continually improve accuracy over time. It’s a technology that’s been a long time in development and more than 600 patents in the making, and we’re excited to open it up to developers and see what they make of it
