China Trumps The World , Starts Taking Pre-Order for iPhone 5

yes everyone you read it right. According to the Reuters, Taobao is apparently taking pre-orders for the still un-announced iPhone 5. Taobao, a unit of Alibaba Group, are accepting orders for the iPhone 5, in some cases asking for a deposit of 1,000 yuan ($160) for the new phone. One seller, “Dahai99888”, who started accepting pre-orders this week, is asking for full payment upfront, at a cool 6,999 yuan ($1,100).

Everyone is expecting the Cupertino giant to announce the next generation iPhone, referred to as iPhone 5 by most in fall this year. By some leaked pictures circulated on the web and covered by iPhonehelp as well, the phone is rumored to sport a new 4-in screen and a mini-dock connector. The phone will be retaining the metal -band connector, which first made debut with the iPhone 4. The Glass back is supposedly gonna be replaced by a new aluminium casing. the phone is gonna be launched the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 6 which was demoed at WWDC this June.
the sellers say they will buy the phones from US and Hong Kong and bring them to Mainland China. Apple usually debuts iPhone in US followed by Hong Kong and Singapore. The sellers though are not disclosing any delivery time and no confirmed price has been posted. they already have a dozen booking done.
iPhones usually do  become available on the grey market  once they are launched at a premium. but by then people already know the specification of the phone and its retail price.. They are willing to invest their money in a device which has not even seen the light of day. So we can see the faith people have in Apple products. Are you willing to go that extra mile to be among the first few buying the phones.
