Why You Shouldn't JailBreak A4 Devices On iOS 6 Even if The JailBreak is Unofficially Available

Several Apple related blogs have posted nice tutorial on how to JailBreak your A4 device including iPhone 3GS such as iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4th generation. Needless to say, the JailBreak remains tethered for these devices due to the limera1n exploit from Geohot which would remain associated with the bootrom and perhaps, can never be killed in future. However, we all know that the method using Redsn0w is meant for developer only.

Of course, it doesn’t install Cydia on your iDevices. To overcome the issue, the same tutorial might have told you on how to install Cydia once the JailBreak is complete. But we would suggest you wait because Cydia is not yet compatible with iOS 6. One of the reason why DevTeam is holding back even if they know that the tethered JailBreak for A4 devices is possible on latest firmware. We know that you desperately want all those Cydia tweaks on your iDevice. But what if they aren’t functional anymore?

Infact, Saurik, the Cydia developer has not announced anything on it officially yet. From the beginning, it has been told from DevTeam that the current JailBreak is only for developers and a stable JailBreak would be released after the public version is out. We think that there’s no use of it since majority of the JailBreak tweaks haven’t even updated yet. If you want to know if you could downgrade from iOS 6.0 to iOS 5.1.1, checkout our detailed article here.

At the end of day, it’s your choice to go for it or not. We will definitely let you know once the stable tethered JailBreak for A4 devices on iOS 6 would be available. Let’s know if you have any further queries in comment section.
