Whatsapp has finally received an update to support the 4 inch screen of iPhone 5 and some iOS 6 improvements. Although it’s a tad late, but iPhone 5 users have been waiting for this update since a quite long time. After the iPhone 5 launch, people had been using the Whatsapp application in letterboxed mode where the screen is not stretched to encapsulate the entire increased height of iPhone 5.
Whatsapp is popular among many Indian users who completely rely on this application for any text related communication. Even though there are certain limitations for iPhone users when it comes to sending files, the cross platform nature of Whatsapp has led this application to grow at a faster pace. Undoubtedly, many other similar applications have landed in App Store which exactly does that. But none has been able to compete with the ecosystem of Whatsapp.
If you are an iPhone 5 device owner and use Whatsapp extensively, you should definitely get this much awaited update.
