Apple Acknowledges Do Not Disturb Bug on New Year, To Continue Until 7th January

While some people including us have been experiencing an issue with Do Not Disturb where the feature extends from the scheduled time, Apple acknowledges the bug and says that it would continue to occur until 7th January. Needless to say, it’s not the first time when Apple software has seen an issue relating to time. Earlier, there had been bugs related to Alarm clocks where Alarm didn’t notify for certain users on the scheduled time.

Do Not Disturb feature was introduced by Apple in iOS 6 and ironically, they aired their new Ad featuring Do Not Disturb on the very next day when this issue started to surface for the customers. As soon as the news went viral, many users on Twitter noticed the glitch with Do Not Disturb and switched the feature OFF manually from the Settings applications until the bug is fixed.

According to Apple, Do Not Disturb wouldn’t turn OFF automatically from 1st Jan to 7th Jan. But before the deadline, you are advised not to depend on Do Not Disturb for now. However, the feature doesn’t affect Alarms notifications, so you won’t face any issue with it. What do you think? Let’s know your thoughts in comment section below.
