iPhone 5 & iPad Mini (Wifi) Can Be JailBroken On iOS 6.1.2, Says iOS Hacker

It’s not long when an iOS hacker @planetbeing has tested iPhone 5 and iPad mini (Wifi) and confirmed that both of these devices can be JailBroken on iOS 6.1.2. Although the hacker hasn’t tested all of the iDevices, but it seems that the test has been positive and we would still be able to maintain untethered JailBreak on iOS 6.1.2 as well. Previously, it was assumed that Apple could have closed the loophole which they usually do in successive iterations of iOS.

Now, it’s very much clear that team evad3rs would update the JailBreaking tool evasi0n to support iOS 6.1.2 in next few days. However, if they perform the testing the same way they did prior to releasing iOS 6.1.1 JailBreak, it might take long. But since they have already done it before and iOS 6.1.2 doesn’t changes much, we are expecting the tool to be updated really soon.

Apple has also stopped signing iOS 6.1.1 for many devices and they are gradually closing the window for rest of them. If you haven’t saved SHSH Blobs for iOS 6.1.1 and worrying if you would lose the JailBreak, you shouldn’t worry now. We will let you know more information on it. Stay tuned for updates!
