With 4K, Panasonic and Microsoft Working On A Windows 8 Tablet [Video]

Panasonic and Microsoft are reportedly working on a tablet based on the new Windows 8 operating system that promises to give you brilliant graphics, vibrant colours and make you feel like a king with a 20inch liquid crystal display. Panasonic is working with Microsoft to develop this Windows 8 tablet computer for business customers at the moment.

Now before moving ahead. how many of you rushed to open this article looking at the word “4k” ? Let me clear this misconception for you then, the tablet is not priced at 4k or Four Thousand bucks. 4k is a technology that Panasonic is currently working upon.

Having said that, let’s move on now. The 4K technology provides you with 4 times finer display than the current High-def. display screens which are 1080p at max. So these display screens will provide brilliant graphics, vibrancy in colours, great experience while viewing movies and an extravagant feel while using a 20 inch capacitive screen with that kind of viewing.

The prototype already been showcased at the CES 2013, the Panasonic-product is already gaining quite a crowd, partly because of the candid tag line , ” 4k tablet ” that attracts people believing that its the cost of the tablet that has been mentioned (quite a trick I’d say).

Having 128 Gigabytes of storage, the tablet also allows a micro SD. Further, Panasonic has infused few of its own wares that are claimed as the “dream of architects and designers”. Also, the tablet allows real-time sharing, which lets about 500 people to work on the same project at the very same time. So if a designer provides with his new design at Chicago, then his colleague at New York can make a few changes at the same time while their boss is monitoring this at Vegas and give his final word, all with the help of IBM cloud computing solutions.
However, battery life is poor, at least in this prototype, that is about just 2 hours.

Panasonic has taken a step further and allowed remote connections to DSLR camera too.

Lets come to the final yet the most important point. What is the cost of this tablet? And when would this be out? I’d say there is a good news and a bad news. Good news, the tablet will be out this very year. Bad news, even though Panasonic has not revealed the price of the excellent piece of gadget yet, still, it is quite evident that it will be way out of many of our pockets back here in India, as the product is meant for business use mainly.
