It has been a really tough time for Sony lately, its handset market share has fallen down to negligible numbers and Sony corp has been struggling to make profits overall. Sony has been betting huge on its new range of Smartphones including the newly launched phablet Sony Xperia Z a 5″ water proof and dust proof device. In an attempt to convert iPhone users to Xperia range of phone Sony gave an update to its Xperia Transfer app that makes it easy for iPhone users to transfer data from their iPhone to Xperia handsets.
The Xperia Transfer software supports Sony Xperia V, Xperia VC, Xperia TC, Xperia T, Xperia TL and the newly announced Xperia Z line up. All the iPhone user has to do is take a back up of their iPhone in iTunes and then hook up their Xperia handset to their PC and run the Xperia Transfer wizard that will later transfer all the contacts, messages, calendar entries, notes, bookmarks, music and other media on to the device with ease.
With the incredible brand loyalty of iPhone users we have to see how successful will Sony be in converting iPhones users into Xperia users. Recently even BlackBerry gave out positive news about converting iPhone and Android users into BB10 users.
