The iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus and iPhone 8 are the three rumored upcoming smartphones from Apple. Among these, the iPhone 8 is expected to come with never before seen features on an iPhone. Fresh renders of the iPhone 8 have been leaked by a luxury case maker named Nodus. These renders have been created on the basis of the information provided by the supply chain of Apple.
The iPhone 8 can be seen sporting an elongated OLED display of 5.8 inches. The bezels surrounding the left, right and bottom of the screen are at 4mm. These bezels will make sure that there is no accidental input that happens on Edge and Infinity Display enabled flagship smartphones from Samsung.
The u-shaped top bezel is a bit thick. It probably houses a selfie camera and few other sensors like ambient sensor, facial or iris recognition. The remaining corners that is unoccupied by the u-shaped upper bezel will display battery and network status. The bottom portion of the screen will feature the “Function Area” that will allow users to conveniently access the notifications on the iOS 11.
Apple had removed the 3.5mm audio jack from iPhone 7and 7 Plus and it seems that it won’t be featuring it on iPhone 8. The bottom side of the alleged iPhone 8 in one of the leaked renders does not show presence of a 3.5mm audio jack. It will be featuring a Lightning connector with support for USB-C power delivery to bring fast charging feature on the iPhone 8. A rumor that had appeared in the previous month had revealed that the iPhone 8 would be supporting fast charging through 10W USB-C wall charger.
Like the iPhone 7’s stereo speaker system, the iPhone 8 is also expected to deliver stereo audio through the speakers present at the bottom side and an amplified earpiece. There is an unusually large Power button placed on the right side of the iPhone 8. Speculations are rife that it could be embedded with a fingerprint scanner.
A render showing the backside of the iPhone 8 reveals that it features a vertically arranged dual cameras placed at the top-left corner. There is no information on the configuration of the dual camera sensors. The iPhone 8 is expected to deliver better battery performance as it may house a larger L-shaped battery.
This special iPhone is speculated to carry an expensive pricing for its rumored 128 GB and 256 GB storage variants. It is speculated to be available with a starting price of $1,000 to $1,200. Other rumors suggest that Apple may debut a second-generation iPhone SE as early as next month.
