Finally, after wait of several months, Devteam has finally updated their classical tool called Redsn0w to support downgrading. We all know that downgrading of A4 devices have been possible from quite sometime, but now you can downgrade newer devices as well. These devices include iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3 using the latest update of Redsn0w. Please note that those who had saved SHSH Blobs either using TinyUmbrella, Cydia or Redsn0w would be able to downgrade their A5 based devices.Â
If you are willing to fetch the SHSH Blobs now for the older firmware, it’s actually not possible. Because Apple has closed the signing window already. If you had saved SHSH Blobs using TinyUmbrella and want to downgrade your iPhone or iPad using latest Redsn0w, TinyUmbrella has a button which can show you your blobs. The developer behind SAM Method has pushed yet another update to SAM application after the discovery of its ability to unlock iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on any carrier. Earlier, you might be using your original Sim or the iTunes for the unlock process to complete. But now, you could perform the unlock independently. The SAM application can be downloaded from Cydia under http://http://repo.bingner.com repository.
Once the repo is added, search for SAM and install it on your iPhone. Navigate to SAMPrefs and make sure that the Method is set to Auto Detect. In Utilities, tap on Attempt activation until a pop up appears and tells you – “Please wait…. This may take a while”. If, by chance, Attempt activation doesn’t appear, just “Deactivate iPhone” from the utilities itself and then follow the previous step. While DevTeam is still working on an update to ultrasn0w for the software unlock, Loktar_Sun after tinkering with the SAM method which is originally used to activate iPhone on any carrier or push notification from iTunes now unlocks a JailBroken iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S. The SAM method was developed by Sam Bingner (@sbingner) for a separate purpose, but it turned out to be one of the simplest method to convert a temporary software unlock into true one.
MuscleNerd has confirmed SAM unlock method to be working on his iPhone 4S. He was being able to run T-mobile without issues. However, you need to have the particular carrier sim inside for the unlock process to proceed specifically for that sim. As per Sam Bingner, the unlock could also work for people who are on iOS 5.1 with tethered JailBreak. Until iPhone hackers releases iOS 5.1 untethered JailBreak for all devices, you can give it a shot.

If you remember, the legendary team released a tool called ‘Absinthe‘ to JailBreak iPhone 4S & iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1. Due to the fact that this team also included DevTeam member MuscleNerd, they have updated their popular tool – ‘Redsn0w’. Now, Redsn0w has the capability to untether JailBreak your A5 based devices on iOS 5.0.1. It means that you won’t require to use Absinthe anymore if you are looking for a JailBreak.
In addition to it, we have many other features. If you have accidentally uninstalled the untether, it would let you re-install the JailBreak. Redsn0w also fetches saved SHSH Blobs/APTickets from Cydia automatically during the JailBreak. So, you don’t need to manually save them from any other tool such as TinyUmbrella. Moreover, it would now show additional information about your device, that is wether you are on an iPhone 3G with vulnerable baseband boot loader or an old bootrom in iPhone 3GS.

Despite the fact that Sparrow for iPhone was released sometime ago, there was not support for the push notifications. And the reason was assumed to be the Apple restrictions. However, no official words came up from the developer team until now. Today, they have updated the application with some more new features including the support for an integrated web browser. It means that you would not require to navigate to separate application, preferably safari, if you click on some link in an email.
 
Other features include send and Archive, ability to empty the trash & spam, dock badge preference, show hide labels as well as folders & attach a file while forwarding messages. Although the push notification is not supported yet, but you can use a tweak via Cydia to enable the service. Needless to say, the sparrow team is working really hard to use push notification in their application. If you are one those people who have accidentally updated their iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1, we now have a solution for you. Folks from our team have come up with a way to unlock your iPhone 4S/iPhone 4. Interestingly, you don’t need to have a Ultra Gevey or any sim interposer tool for the unlock process to proceed. We have worked really hard to explore the vulnerabilities on iPhone 4S and found out that it works on iPhone 4 as well. Special Thanks to the member of DevTeam, MuscleNerd who worked with us to make it fully functional.
 
This is the simplest unlock ever. After months of work, we have implemented this exploit completely. Although we unlocked our iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1 a while ago, but things were pretty much messed up for us. At first, the Wifi was temporary disabled and we faced problems in the signal reception. Truth to be told, there are lots of Android users who prefers Handcent SMS application from the market over the default application. It might be one of the reason for the developers to push it on iPhone as well. Now, the application is also available for download on iOS unofficially, that is, from JailBreak Store (Cydia). Handcent SMS application is known due to its amazing interface on Android, but it seems that the expectations have not been fulfilled on iPhone.
We played with the application for couple of minutes, tried sending and receiving the messages. And figured out that the application is in tad early stages which you can see through the current version – 1.0.0. Sometimes, while navigating inside the Handcent SMS application, it crashed for us. Also, the lags when you flicker inside a specific thread are normal. However, in terms of the functionality  when compared with that of the default application, Handcent SMS application serves the purpose completely.

We all know that iMessage is an amazing way to connect to iDevices users seamlessly. But there are some restrictions in iMessage if you want to send certain files. However, those restrictions can be surpassed using Attacher tweak via Cydia. By default, you can send location from Maps, Contact and an image from photos application. Attacher expands the capabilities and let you send or receive any type of file from your iOS device.
To send the file, you can choose the different options available once you have installed the tweak. They includes Dropbox, iFile or Teamviewer. If you select Dropbox from the list, you would be redirected to the native application in order to choose the file to be uploaded for sharing purpose.
