Yes the iPhone 3G S (3GS / 3GSpeed / video however you spell it) has been jailbreaked aswell as unlocked. Thanks to 2 great tools, one by GeoHot and the UltraSn0w by the iPhone Dev Team.

The first software unlock for the iPhone 3G was released last week and it has now been updated to v0.9.5 fixing many issues and bugs. Thus making the unlock more reliable.
Another fact I came across today is: almost 18% iPhone users jailbreak/unlock their devices! Thats a huge number.

Although the 1st Gen iPhone never made it to Asia officially, we saw thousands of them coming in Unlocked and selling like Hot Cakes. But this might not be the case with New iPhone 3G which is due to launch in India and several other countries later this year.
