Software developers for the iPhone will now be able to take advantage of the Google API. This would mean developers can integrate the Google services / applications better with the iPhone easily. Google Blogger API, Google Spreadsheet API, Google Contacts API and YouTube API all of these will gel with the iPhone and will give you a complete G – experience on your iPhone!
What we are pretty sure is that, Video function is coming for the iPhone and probably some super functions like uploading your YouTube videos from the iPhone itself.
“Google has released GData Objective-C Client Library APIs that will allow iPhone developers to take advantage of Google APIs together with iPhones APIs.”
Google is an Internet company and it adds value to its users by making its services available on the Internet (free of cost generally). However, we are now seeing a gradual shift of momentum from desktops and notebooks to mobile. For many people mobile phone would be the primary and perhaps only source of connecting to the Internet. Google understands this shift to mobile, and it’s in their own interest that they give developers all the required tools to make applications for mobile.
With the iPhone, Apple has made a giant leap for the entire mobile industry. By far they have set the standard for any mobile company to give Internet capabilities and usable UI on their handset. Looking forward to see what Google apps show up on the iPhone in coming months.
