The upcoming iPhone firmware v2.2 has some more features, apart from the updated Safari browser some exciting new addons can be found.
The most significant of these being a support for Google Street View inside Google Maps. Street view is a Google service that has been accommodated in the recent Android release G1.
Another much needed update is the ability to turn off the iPhone auto correction. And if the developers are to be believed, this is going to be live in the iPhone v2.2.
The third important feature might be to please the Japanese iPhone users – Japanese emoji icons!
The 2.2 firmware for the iPhone is in beta testing and is expected to release shortly.
