Announcing $1.6B in profits and warning its competitors was not the only thing that Apple did during its first quarter earnings call yesterday. It seems that the iPhone Nano rumoers have been shot down officially by Apple COO Tim Cook. One of the key advantages that Apple iPhone developers have is that they need not adjust their apps to different screen sizes or buttons. And it seems Apple will keep this setup intact.
A cheaper iPhone or a nano version that many call it, comes up in rumors for there is a demand for one. Not many can afford an iPhone and Apple knows that. While they deny working on a iPhone nano and they probably mean it, I am sure they have plans to innovate in this segment.

we’re not going to play in the low-end voice phone business.
