Cydia has finally delivered an app for mailing files from the iPhone. And its not just another app but a revolution for the iPhone. File2Mail is a simple app with a nice interface which allows multiple files to be sent over a single email. Yes a SINGLE EMAIL and that to any file from the root system. The only thing is that you should remember your root system very well as they are quite confusing.
When you open the app you will see a many with many options on find your desired files. You can either browse through the file system of your device by directory OR let the device auto-search a given directory and all sub-directories, or set search filters by keyword, creation or modification date, and relative size, then only files meeting the above criteria will show in the previously.
After making your choice, go back to the main menu and select “show selected files”. From here you can view the files you’ve selected and delete any unnecessary ones. After making your choices ,go to the little mail icon up top which will ask you for the recipient’s email address and text (which is optional) . You’ll also have to go into the SMTP settings and enter in your information for your email account. After that just tap the send button at the top and you will receive the mail shortly. (The app takes some time to mail so don’t think that its not working or has hanged and quit)
This is a good app , but needs an upgrade pretty quickly. There are also some minor problems I faced while using the app. The app crashes while doing a directory search and the app needs better mail integration. This is because people don’t remember their STMP setting for email. Also the app takes a long time to mail if you are mailing multiple files together. One more thing is that it can email photos but the directory doesn’t show up thumbnails and the photos are on names which cant be remembered. But if you are mailing other files its pretty good.
To install this just search ‘Crepuscolo ’ in Cydia
