No, they are not copying the PRE. Apparently this device was first spotted back in Sept 2008; however more details have emerged since. The Motorola Evoke QA4 is a touch screen slider with a number pad revealed upon sliding.
Evoke QA4 is a CDMA/EV-DO slider with 2.8″ touch screen and a single button when closed and a numeric keypad when opened.
Recent leaks suggest the following features:
- EV-DO Rev A
- aGPS
- Bluetooth with A2DP
- AVRCP and DUN support
- on-screen landscape QWERTY keyboard
- widget support
- Google Sync Built in
- YouTube and Picasa
The device recently made an appearance on the Motorola website in the form of a pre-registration for regular updates on the device. The page is currently accessible though Google cache only.
Though, it is not confirmed, as to what OS the Evoke would run on. We wouldn’t be surprised if this tuns out to be an ANDROID!
A previous FCC approval news by Phone Arena shows some touch gestures that QA4 aka Evoke would feature. We are excited!
