Unibody MacBooks is a hit and Apple certainly raises the bar for quality every time they innovate. So would iPods be the next in line to receive Unibody treatment from Apple (and possible iPhones…)? A recent Apple patent filing reveals the cos plan to design made Unibody iPods.
The new Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro bodies are built form a single block of Aluminum, and if this is how the new iPhones / iPods would be made – I am excited! These designs would be extremely successful with iPods and other devices without a touchscreen. For touch devices Unibody might not be feasible IMO.
