Google has customized the Gmail on the iPhone / iPod Touch further. This time adding Labels support for the mobile version. You can label any email message from your iPhone / iPod Touch browser itself. With this update, I am increasingly tilting towards using the Safari version of Gmail instead of the default Mail App on iPhone.
Google has done well to get a lot of impressive features and speed to the mobile browser. Labels is a big addon, and we don’t see the official Mail App getting this anytime soon. After all its a generic app for all email services.
The mobile version lets you do the basic with adding and removing labels. For creating labels, you need to go to a desktop version of Gmail. Not bad!
Works with firmware V2.2.1 on iPhone and iPod Touch
