Probably came to my notice late, but its disappointing to see App developers add all competitor app names in their description (previously seen in App Title aswell) to gain extra eyeballs via searches on the iTunes app store. While Apple has done well to get 35000+ apps, live on the AppStore (and reject some deserving ones in the process :P); They need to better insulate the App store audience from such tactics by cheap app developers.
Previously we had seen how developers added fake reviews to the AppStore to promote their apps. This was fixed by Apple sometime back. But with OS 3.0 and 1 billion Apps sold, we certainly expect Apple to do better on this front. Let quality prevail…
