Maps Enhancer app for the iPhone reminds me of the first version of Offline Maps I had on my 1.1.4 firmware version. However, the app is much better than OfflineMaps. Map Enhancer package, available via Cydia is not an app, its just an addon or a tweak that adds special functions to the default google maps app on the iPhone that can be accessed via the settings app on the iP hone.
MapsEnhancer app allows you to save the map cache i.e. allows you to save the map you have browsed the last time you entered into the app. So in a way, it allows you to access maps when you are offline. The second feature it offers is to choose the zoom level in all three formats (standard, satellite & hybrid) when you launch the app. You can change the default zoom level and choose the zoom level 2-19 (19 being the maximum zoom level).
All in all the app is great for all the iPhone fans you regularly use the maps application and GPS functionality. In fact, I rate the app even better than Offline Maps as offlinemaps is too complex, and you have to download and even make your own maps to use the application.
