GeoHotz blacksn0w is live and We’ve tested it on our 3G with baseband 5.11, and it works like a charm and here are steps to install it:
Before continuing, make sure you are on the 05.11.07 baseband. If you are not pleased update your firmware to 3.1.2 using iTunes before continuing.
To install blacksn0w you need to first add this repo http://blackra1n.com
Here, are the steps to add blackra1n repo:
- Launch cydia, Select Manage.
- Now tap the Edit button.
- Now you will see the Add button, tap on it.
- Now you will be prompted for the url address.
- Just type blackra1n.com and tap on Add Source button and let it load.
- Once it is added tap on Done button.
To install blacksn0w just follow these steps:
- Now you will see blackra1n on top, just tap on it, and you will see blacksnow under this repo.
- Tap on blacksn0w and it will prompt you to install, install it.
- Once blacksn0w is installed, put your SIM on the phone if you haven’t done it yet, Now it will automatically search the network.
- Enjoy unlocking !!!
