Although many of you are not happy with iPhone’s virtual keyboard, but still there are quite few cool tweaks available on cydia which modifies the existing virtual keyboard, one of them was iTypefaster which works great, but it has some compatibility issues with different apps and firmware updates. So I uninstalled it and recently I was told by my friend to try BQWERTY keyboard and after using I found it really, only faced some problem while enabling it.
bQWERTY where ‘B’ stands for ‘Better QWERTY’ are another cool QWERTY keyboard which is almost similar default keyboard in looks, but the developer has done some really cool layouts and useful changes, I always miss the “,” and the “; ” on the front of the default keyboard which is added on this keyboard.
- First Layout is almost same as default keyboard but with some added special characters like: ; , ./
- Second Layout is a numbers and numeric operators.
- Third layout has some cool add-ons like few special chracters, Home, PageUp, PageDown, Direction buttons and some cool special chracters: ?????™®©?? and few emoticons kind of.
I’ve tested bQWERTY with few commonly used apps like skype, twitterrific, facebook and it worked fine, except on cydia, keyboard is switched to default mode.
bQWERTY keyboard works with iKeyEx, if iKeyEx is not installed, bQWERTY will install it. Once installed you’ve to enable it from iKeyx.
